Departing

I'm feeling rather blue today. We are packing up and getting ready to leave. I have been living here in Joshua Tree for six months and I have grown to love this place. I have just begun to understand the desert and feel at home here and now I have to leave. Well, let's say I choose to leave, that's the plan. I have been in a constant state of transition for the past eight months and the thought of picking up and moving again has me feeling a bit anxious. I am excited for adventure and I know I will see some new places and return to familiar places too. It's all apart of the journey that I signed onto....one that has not disappointed me yet .I am grateful that I have such a small concern to complain about.....and really I'm not complaining so much as just wanting things to remain the same for just a little bit longer. The birds singing me awake in the morning and the stars shinning down on me at night.....ah well I know wherever I land there will be birds and stars to greet me.
So hopefully I will be blogging my way across the country and sharing the journey with you!
I decided to share my collection of blue pictures today to emphasize the feeling.......

  1. This is the third time I am trying to post a comment. You might reach New Hampshire before I get it posted. Yikes!

  2. Okay then, I am sorry that you are feeling blue, but I am looking forward to getting together once you reach the east coast!

  3. I can understand your feelings of "blueness." Change is hard....you'll surely find new wonders and surprises, though, to make you happy along the way. Looking forward to hearing about your travels!
